Hiller Helicopters

The story of the Hiller Helicopter. Animation shows the problems of flight. Footage shows: a jet interceptor taking off; and jet bomber taking off. A series of sequences show the different versions of the Hiller Helicopter from the early 1940s to the late 1950s including the first successful co-axial helicopter and others following the same principle; ram jet helicopters and helicopters under construction. Shown also are sequences on the U.S. Army in Korea, on the U.S. Army Aviation Center - Camp Rucker, Alabama, on the Flying Platforms, etc.
