A program focussing on the construction and planning of the Prince of Wales Building at HMC Dockyard, Halifax and the Ship Repair Unit Atlantic, the organization which refitted the naval task force with modern weapons. On-site the Prince of Wales Building, Halifax, host Louis Garneau interviews Captain Brown, Commanding Officer of the Ship Repair Unit, who outlines the responsibilities of the Ship Repair Unit Atlantic, the first, second and third line maintenance, work sites centred in the Prince of Wales Building, number of employees and workload carried out in the Prince of Wales Building, repairs to Canadian and Allied war ships and an example of a ship experiencing mechanical difficulty and steps taken in the repair process. Still photos are used to illustrate topics discussed over the course of the interview.~An interview with Andy Bernard, Jetty Complex Project Officer, follows. Topics discussed include Bernard's contribution to the movement of shops and personnel into the Prince of Wales Building.~Garneau then interviews Barry Fraser, Construction Engineering Operations Manager, concerning the Energy Monitoring Control System (EMCS) used in the Price of Wales Building to control and monitor all mechanical systems in the building including heat, air handling, and ventilation.
