Queries re marriage blessing, mentioning precedent of 13 July 1638 and the Zamboni collection [i.e., Collectio Declarationum]; marriage dispensations, mentioning precedents of 3 August 1817, 7 March 1819, 23 January and 30 January 1820; fees for marriage dispensations, mentioning his M [to the Holy See] of [20 August] 1806 [see SOCG 032], PF's answer of next year [24 January 1807; see Lettere 022], indult renewed on 29 May 1808, revoked on 15 June 1814 (enclosure A [see SOCG 375]); new faculties for the bp. of Saldes, the writer's coadjutor [Panet]; new indulgences, mentioning precedents of 29 May 1808, 11 March [1821?]; holidays, mentioning Gardellini's opinion;

The writer informs of the consecrations of the bp.s of Rhesaina [A. McDonell], Telmissus [Lartigue], and Rhosus [A.B. MacEachern], and encloses their professiones fidei (enclosures B-D [see SOCG 372-374]); the bp. of Juliopolis [Provencher] will be consecrated in the coming year. The problem of tithes is discussed, with particular regard to Montréal, a district of 189,000 souls (enclosure E). The mandement [of 20 February 1821; see SOCG 318] that he published for the district of Montréal when the bp. of Telmissus was consecrated, mentioning that, as far as he understands, the suffragan bp.s [McDonell, MacEachern, Lartigue, Provencher] are to be regarded in their districts as ordinary bp.s, although the British government requires that they still depend on the [a]bp. of Québec (enclosure F).
