She was only one of two Japanese Canadians granted teaching certificates in the province. She discusses her role as part of the four-member 1936 Japanese Canadian Citizens' League delegation to Parliament, to make the case for extending voting rights to Japanese Canadians. The other members of this delegation were Edward Banno, Samue I. Hayakawa and Minoru Kobayashi. The extension was not granted. In 1943, she was appointed as a supervisor to train 140 Nisei as primary school teachers in detention centres in the interior of B.C. <81mn>Langue :EnglishRemarques :Détails de l'inventaire : -
