This film promotes the work done by the Soldiers' Aid Commission for war orphans and encourages viewers to consider adopting a child. Shots show the well-disciplined boys in class and at work in the garden at Bon Air. They also enjoy soft ball and the "Toffee Scuffle". Intertitles indicate that only persons of the highest character are allowed to adopt the children, and that this is a fair bargain as the child is sure to bring honour to his parents. At the hostel on Jarvis street are young children who are shown having a pillow fight. The girls who live there are experts in house work and are shown making beds. An intertitle indicates that everyone is excited about the coming holiday. Before departing, the boys at Bon Air are inspected by the Chairman of the Commission, Lieutenant Colonel W.H. Price, M.P.P. Also shown are Commissioners J.B. Laidlaw and Major A.C. Lewis. The children are then taken to Vimy Ridge Farm near Guelph, Ontario where they spend their holiday in idyllic surroundings. Colonel Price is shown inspecting the children once again, and the orphans are shown playing, learning about nature and swimming. The final intertitle reads: "You married people - who have no children of your own - won't you help by "carrying on" with one of these?" <13mn 32s>
