Image x cmPortée et contenu :This is the second state of this print with the original publisher's name (tregear) replaced. Tregear may have re-issued the plate with the original publishename removed. Comparison to similar sleighing prints by Henry Alken (after sketched by Captain Fraser), published by Robert Havell, London, 1838, (see Paul Hachey, The New Brunswick Landscape Print 1760-1880, cat no.63 and 64), clearly demonstrates that Alken was responsible for the composition and etching.
