The McGill silhouette is full length in profile to the right with one arm loose at the side, the other with the hand on the collar of the coat. THE BOSTON SILHOUETTE is full length in profile to the right with the arms folded behind to the right, holding a top hat in the right hand and wearing a flower in the lapel of the coat. The mount is a folio from the artist's own albums of duplicate silhouettes., Lukis family, Guernsey, given to them by the artist following a shipwreck: Mrs. Emily Nevill Jackson, acquired from the son of Frederica Lukis, daughter of Thomas Lukis to whom Edouart gave the albums.
