Official medal of the Organizing Committee of the XXI Olympiad, Montréal, 1976.

The medal is contained in a red case. On the outside lid of the case is the emblem of the XXI Olympiad, while the bottom of the case contains the copyright information. On the inside lid of the case, information regarding the medal itself is listed as "Medaille Officialle/Des Jeux Olympiques/1976/Official/1976/Olympic Games/Medallion." Included in the case is the medal's "Certificate of Authenticity," No. 015494.

Depicted on the obverse side of the medal is a bird's eye view of a modern architectural structure (possibly Olympic Stadium, Montréal).

The reverse side of the medal notes that it is representative of the XXIe Olympiade Montréal, 1976. Depicted is a view of a harbour with a ship and a background of buildings with towers and steeples. Above the buildings is the emblem of the XXI Olympiad. The name of the manufacturer of the medal is listed at the bottom of the medal as "Huguenin Switzerland."
