Interview of Russell Cunningham about the radio research and radio broadcasting done by Guglielmo Marconi in Nova Scotia in the early 1900s, the buildings and broadcasting masts built by Marconi, and the importance of radio communications to sea travel; the Marconi-owned station Voice of the Atlantic Seaboard (VAS), which broadcast skits, plays, music and marine weather forecasts, and other early radio broadcasts. Cunningham takes Bill McNeil on a tour of the old VAS building on his property, which is a treasure trove of equipment and other memorabilia dating from the Marconi era, the VAS station having shut down in 1945. Cunningham also talks about other radio artifacts he has in his home.
