An examination of how Indian women's rights have been hurt by a court decision not to allow the treaty Indian woman the right to retain her Indian status when she leaves the reservation to marry a white man. Although the program focuses mainly on Alberta Indians and Metis, there are also interviews with National Indian personalities. Comments are made by: Philomene Ross of the Committee of Indian Rights; Jenny Maugetts, Co-Chairman of National Indian Rights; Nellie Carson, Chairman of Alberta Indian Rights; Maria Campbell, author of Half-Breed; Stan Daniels, President of the Alberta Metis Association; and Shannon Two Feathers, composer and vocalist. Views of an Indian gathering, and of an Alberta Indian Reserve occupied by the Enoch Band.
