Arrival of car carrying Governor General Roméo LeBlanc; arrival shot from outside building; arrival on the floor where the conservation labs are located; reception; meeting special guests such as Flora MacDonald; the interior of the video lab as staff await the arrival of the Governor General; LeBlanc entering the video lab, accompanied by Lilly Koltun, Director General of the Archives Headquarters Accommodation Project, and Dr. Jean-Pierre Wallot, the National Archivist; close-up of screen in video lab showing news clip of Roméo LeBlanc when he was Société Radio Canada's correspondent in London, England; close-up of LeBlanc's reaction to the surprise showing of the tape; LeBlanc shaking the hand of video conservator Brian MacDonald and chatting with him about the video and video conservation; continuation of tour in art vault; the VIPs getting into an elevator; more of the tour in the conservation labs, showing methods and equipment for conserving books and other materials; corridors; Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers outside building with the crowd gathered outside for the official opening ceremony; back inside the building, where the tour continues; special guests such as Jean Pigott; LeBlanc unveiling a plaque inside the entrance to the building; LeBlanc and other officials, including Dr. Wallot, go outside for the start of the ceremony. <28mn>

1. This unedited footage was shot by General Assembly under contract to the National Archives of Canada.~2. This consists of footage with wild sound shot by the second camera in order to get different angles and thus contains shots of some of the same things shown in other tapes.~3. 3 of 6.
