ALEXIS TREMBLAY, HABITANT, produced in 1943, is a colour short feature, detailing the life of Alexis Tremblay and his family on their rural Quebec farm. Their daily routine is described including early methods of farming, baking bread, spinning wool and other rural chores. Summer and winter scenes were filmed as well as a New Year's Eve village party at the Tremblay's. PAINTERS OF RURAL QUEBEC traces the stages of French Canadian painters from the impressionists to a contemporary abstract painter. Much of the artwork portrays people and landscapes of old and new Quebec. The film was produced for the National Film Gallery by Graham McInnes and directed and photographed by F.R. Crawley. <30mn>Langue :EnglishNo original :51-41203-0008Détails de l'inventaire : -
