In her recollections about her life and the history of the CWPC, Bird talks about her family background and her relationship with husband and journalist John Bird; the early years of her writing and broadcasting career with the CBC; her involvement with the Winnipeg and Ottawa CWPC branches with anecdotes about some of the members, namely Miriam Green Ellis, E.
