A parade kicks off the convention preceded by Shriner bands from the United States and Canada and followed by various delegations from around the world. Prominent in the parade are: the Aleppo Temple delegation of Boston, Massachusetts;the Medinah delegation of Chicago,Illinois;; Za-Ga-Zig of Des Moine,Iowa; the Jacksonville, Florida chapter, the 48th Highland Pipe Band of Toronto; and three parading elephants bearing the Temple Syrian chapter insignia. Shots of a nightime parade with floats illuminated against the sky. Good clips of fireworks display. Bill Eaton is pictured with several senior shriners which include Senior Azhar Potentate. Additional shots include: Eaton entering an automobile, smoking a cigar; clowns entertaining visitors; Leo Youngworth seated in his automobile; and shots of incoming Imperial Potentate, Esten A.
