The microfilm consists of the lists of Medical Council of Canada licentiates for the years 1973, 1980-1982, as well as the list of registrants dating from 1979. The documents include the verbatim reports of the Annual Meeting of the Medical Council of Canada, 1955-1980, the verbatim reports of the Semi-Annual Executive Committee meetings, 1967-1980, and the reports of the Council's Main Board of Examiners, 1968-1975, along with those of the Committee of Examinations and the Central Examination Committee for the years 1965-1974 and 1977-1980 respectively. The documents also contain the alphabetic lists of the results of the Qualifying Examination, 1969-1980, and several background papers which contributed to the changes in the Canada Medical Act in October of 1976. A working copy of Dr. R.B. Kerr's History of the Medical Council of Canada (Ca. 1977-1978) is also included.
