She begins talking about the odd jobs she did as a young girl, cleaning birdcages at Woolworth's and turning out pant pockets in a dry cleaner, and her regret about quitting high school before she finished Grade 12. She then talks about her work experience in the late 1960s and 1970s which included a variety of jobs such as taxi driving in Toronto, waitressing, working as a clown, doing research for radio and television programs, which in the early 1980s, progressed to hosting a number of CBC radio shows, and finally, in 1988, becoming host of GABEREAU, her own weekday afternoon show in Vancouver. Describing the extensive research involved in preparing for a radio interview, she reflects on how this type of livelihood has enabled her to learn how to organize her mind and has given her a free education.Langue :EnglishDétails de l'inventaire : -
