She explains why she always refused to do traditional women's work which brought her to work for Parks Canada from 1975 to 1983, building hiking trails, doing back-country patrol and wilderness maintenance in the federal parks. She describes the adventurous aspects and the physical challenges of working in this field, and relates a few anecdotes about incidents of sexual harassment at that time. To conclude, she explains how, in 1988, she ended up working for a non-profit organization committed to social changes and fighting poverty which today gives her a sense of doing something worthwhile rather than just exploiting her body.Langue :EnglishRemarques : -
