Irving discusses his varied career in detail, from being chief engineer at CKFC Vancouver, going to CFJC in Kamloops, moving back to Vancouver to become an announcer and then program manager at CKWX, moving to Montreal to work for CFCF, returning to Vancouver to teach radio and television broadcasting at the Institute of Technology in Burnaby, and finally settling in Victoria to work as a news announcer.
