Second half of a 30-minute weekly CBC radio program of comedy and music for the troops. It features the comedy team of Johnny Wayne and Frank Shuster. Jack Benny and Rochester (played by Eddie Anderson) are special guests. Jack Benny tries to join the Canadian army and Rochester plays an army colonel. An unidentified announcer thanks Jack Benny for bringing his comedy troupe to Canada at his own expense to entertain Canadian troops and also thanks him for his work helping to sell war bonds and stamps. Next is the song [I Never Knew] by the [Army Swing Squad]. At the end of the program, the announcer describes the program as "The Army Show, the radio voice of the men and women of Canada's active army". The Army Show is presented with the permission of the Department of National Defence. <15mn>
