Recherche dans la collection - Henry Pooley collection [graphic material]

Two watercolours entitled "Quebec from the Ferry House, Point Levi" and "Rideau". Work by Henry Pooley (active 1812-1843).
This is a retrospective accession. The information about it is found in RG 37 "C" Series, Volume 337, file 1924-58; in the Picture Division Accession Book 1921-1931, May 13, 1925 entry (reference to "Water-colour: Rideau H. Pooley 1833") and the Artist File 705-1595.
The NA has another watercolour by Pooley entitled "Entrance to the Rideau Canal" Accession Number 1990-550-1, (C-003585). See RG 37 Vol. 328, File 1912 Correspondence, Offer from W. Abbatt, New York. The title on the actual work is "Rideau" and the image depicts the mouth of the Rideau Canal.
The watercolour entitled "Rideau" and the watercolour entitled "Rideau [Mouth of Rideau Canal]" (C-003585) may be the same item.
These two works, together with two watercolours by Cockburn, were purchased by the archives for oe45.00.
