Tim Buck, national leader of the Labour Progressive Party, outlines his party's program. He begins his talk with the words "Good Evening. All over Canada, the hearts of free people are stirred..."~He speaks about the victory in Europe the necessity of buying war bonds, and the coming election on June 11, 1945.~He points out that we face great prosperity or a post-war crisis. The latter can be avoided only by "Mobilizing for peace as we have in war".~In outlining his party's platform, he advocates planned economics, old age pensions, better education, a national health plan, minimum wages, and international co-operation.~He urges Canadians to vote to achieve a Liberal Progressive coalition that will keep the evil of "Toryism" out of Canadian politics.
