The annunciation and the infancy of Jesus, in the city of Galilee, a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the House of David, Mary bears a son who will be called Jesus. The story is told in music and song, using passages from Mathew and Luke, tracing the life of Jesus the actors portray the various characters in the biblical stories. The annunciation, the apprehensive period, the flight into Egypt, the period of youth, the heralding of John the Baptist, the calling of the disciples, the beginning of miracles, work amongst the people, the last days of Jesus, the persecution, and finally the crucification, the burial, and the resurrection. The ascension and finally the sign of Jesus, the cross. All stages of the life of Jesus are realistically and credibly portrayed by actors in authentic settings.
