Margo Pineau interviews Voice of Women (VOW) member Stella LeJohn in Winnipeg, where she works with immigrant women.~Topics of discussion include LeJohn's involvement with Match International as well as with VOW, systemic discrimination in the workplace, the need for the women's movement to pay more attention to minority groups, efforts to get immigrant women to participate in women's groups, how women are affected by socialization, how women's approach to peace differs from men's and VOW's approach to dealing with peace issues.~LeJohn also discusses conflict in South Africa, the Gulf War, and the root causes of war. She claims there is a connection between large-scale and personal violence, noting that violence against women escalated in Winnipeg during media depictions of the Gulf War on television.
