Hilary Brown, a member of the Voice of Women (VOW) since the early 1960s who lives on the island of Hornby, British Columbia, is interviewed by Cathy Reeves.~Brown reviews her background as a child in England during World War I, as an active member of the peace movement in England and an an employee in a London organization researching the armaments industry. Brown joined VOW when her fears of a third world war and facism were triggered by the Cuban Crisis of 1960 and a VOW editorial in Maclean's Magazine.~Other topics include the close communication and cooperation among VOW members, press perception of the organization, the process of change, the role of the individual, how power corrupts, the Gulf War and the community of Hornby.~Brown speculates on whether or not she is truly a 'pacifist' and tries to define peace. <1h>
