A film promoting citizens saving money to buy Liberty Bonds.~A man, his wife and child at breakfast table, talk about buying loan bonds. A black girl servant is hovering in background. The man is shown leaving house, while the two women clear the table. The man is next shown at cigar counter, a second man, his boss, joins him, and they talk about what a wonderful thing it is to buy bonds with such enthusiasm that when they leave the sales clerk decides to buy some himself. The two men are next shown admiring a Model "A" Ford in a showroom window. The boss is approached by a salesman while our hero joins two other men whom he dissuades from buying tickets for a football game in favour of purchasing bonds. Meanwhile his boss disconcerts the car salesman with the same pitch. Our hero returns home and announces they are to have no more weekend trips. The boss meets his wife and annouces "We can wait for the new car and the new hat". Our man, having saved hard, goes to the bank at the end of the month to find a line-up of the people he had convinced should buy bonds, who had also brought their friends. Men and wives, gather round to congratulate each other on their wisdom. Final scene appears to a torch-lit meeting at the door of City Hall.
