Textual records include documentation on exhibitions and publicity; artwork and commercial projects; business correspondence; personal correspondence; biographies, bibliographies and inventories; personal material and memorabilia; published material; and material relating to Lela Wilson and her second husband Maxwell Henderson.
The majority of the art are works created as studies for many large-scale murals by York Wilson. Included as well are a number of items of memorabilia relating to the Wilsons' friends and family and to their travels abroad.
Photographic records are both personal and professional. Included are family albums, albums compiled through their travels, portraits, and records of artwork created by York Wilson over his lifetime.
Audio visual recordings include two sound recordings consisting of an interview with York Wilson for C-100 FM Halifax on the event of a recent showing of his work in Halifax, Nova Scotia, 1979; and a luncheon address by York Wilson to the Canadian Club of Toronto, 1986, recorded by CJRT-FM. Also included are two video recordings consisting of a three-part documentary entitled DAYS OF RECKONING (1995), a film that follows seven young Canadians who set out to uncover the truth behind thirty years of out-of-control public spending and its long-term consequences; and an unedited interview with Maxwell Henderson, former Auditor General of Canada, conducted by Paul Kemp, to be included in the production DAYS OF RECKONING.Source :PrivéAutre no d'acquisition :2007-0066 VSA -
