Description :

A travelogue film about the various attractions within Yosemite National park. Scenes from Yosemite Falls, Bridalview Falls, views from Glacier Point, footage of The hanging Rock, Vernal falls, Sierra Point, and Wanona, among others. In one intertitle it reads, "A historical moment. Supt. Lewis and Chief ranger Townsley, with staff, awaiting Lieut. Krull, the first aviator flying over Yosemite Valley." Shots of an aeroplane as it travels overhead. Some shots from the point of view of the plane. Intertitle; "Farewell ovation to the Explorers". The film ends with a shot of a automobile carrying 'The Explorers' past a crowd of waving people, through a entrance portal that reads, Farewell. On the dash of the automobile it reads, "The Explorers -- Motion Picture Producers".

1. 1923 film stock.~2. This is not related to the film entitled TRAIL OF THE GODS.~3. There is no head title on this footage.~4. Not related to IDC 445332, YOSEMITE WONDERLAND.~5. The style of the fonts in the intertitles is very similiar to the style used by the Canadian Government Motion Picture Bureau. However, the subject matter does not appear in any of the available CGMPB catalogues.
