This series of reports covers flooding in The Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, from 6 June to 10 August 1990. Footage includes calls being fielded by the Floor Response Centre in Penticton, volunteers and residents in Kelowna filling sandbags, a building shifted by flood waters to the middle of a road, blocked highways, residents being air-lifted to safety, mudslides precipitated by two weeks of heavy rain, the site at which two members of one family were killed, B.C. Premier Bill Vanderzalm touring the area in a helicopter, a train wreck south of Revelstoke, damaged Indian reserve lands, flood watch statistics, flood relief measures, and a mud slide report on 2 August that led to residents demanding stricter provincial regulations of the timber industry. <20 mn>
