Footage of the confrontation on Lyell Island off the coast of British Columbia includes the Haida being served with a legal order. Additional footage includes a group of Haida Indians at Vancouver International Airport, holding an informational picket to discourage charter operators from taking tourists to the Queen Charlotte Islands and an excerpt from a 1935 Canadian Government Motion Picture Bureau film entitled "Big Timber". Commentary by Hebb on the government's plan to create a world class tourist industry in the area and the Haida's desire to preserve the wilderness in its present form, as well as interviews with the owner of a commercial fishing troller and with Miles Richardson, President of Haida Nations, highlight the conflicting interests in the Queen Charlotte Islands. <30mn>Langue :EnglishRemarques :Détails de l'inventaire : -
