The fonds consists of records pertaining to the musical activities of Frederic Lord: biographical essay; personal correspondence; list of works; concert programmes; certificate; speech; music manuscripts; records pertaining to the activities of the Canadian Choir of Brantford: correspondence, contract, financial records, scrapbooks, membership cards, minutes, promotional material; photographs, mainly of Frederic Lord, members of this family, and the Canadian Choir of Brantford.

Lord, Frederic, 1886-1945 : Choirmaster, teacher, organist and composer born in Yorkshire, England, who settled in Brantford, Ontario in 1923. He founded and conducted the Canadian Choir of Brantford from 1928 to 1945. In 1929 the choir won fourth prize at the Blackpool Music Festival. His compositions include pieces for solo piano, two piano concertos, a symphony and the cantata The Battle of Morgarten.
