Starts with song about Nunavut (Our Land) sung by David Haulli. Introduction of the interviewees: the first interview is with Nathan Qamanirq - he talks about how he started to cut blocks for the igloo with an older man and how it's really hard to make a perfect block for the igloo. The second interviewee's name is Eugene Ipkanak who talks about when he was a boy and how he started to make small igloos and found out that there were different kinds of snow - some was hard and some was very soft that is called "Pukayaaq". He also said he makes igloos when he goes out hunting in winter. To make an igloo you should find good snow first. The third guest is Felix Alanalak. He talks about how you can only learn by doing it regularly. The cutaway of Felix are photos taken when he was out hunting. The next person says let the first blizzard come and after a week or so that's good snow for an igloo; the old snow is sometimes good also, but most of the time it's too hard. And the south wind blizzard is better than the north blizzard to make an igloo. Eugene talks about two kinds of igloo building: on sea ice and on land. The sea ice now is a lot thinner than the land snow. When you are camping on the sea ice you have to make the blocks square. Felix talks about the snow called Pukayaa. To have to make an igloo with Pukayaa is when the weather is very cold and drafty, so it is no good for an igloo but when you have no choice you can make an igloo out of Pukayaa snow.~The next is Mark Ijjagniaq. He shows how to start to make an igloo: first, you have to find good snow using a rod. Second, you choose the first block and saw the snow: it's not the same as when you saw wood. He talks about how to fasten snow block to block: you don't have to hit it very hard to fasten it. He also talks of how to cut the block straight down. He describes how to put the second layer of blocks on: you have to put the blocks a little more inside on top of the blocks so it will be round.
