This series contains documents illustrating the work of Francis C. Muldoon as vice-president and president of the Law Reform Commission of Canada. The general mandate of the Commission was to review canadian laws and judicial procedures in a systematic and continuing basis in consultation with the public, the legal profession and other interest groups to develop new concepts and approaches in law in keeping with and responsive to the changing needs of Canadian society and of individual members of that society and make reccommendations for the improvement, modernization and reform of laws and the administration of Justice in Canada. The series includes administrative and working files, general and personal correspondence and public relations files related to conferences, seminars and meetings of members of law societies. Also includes manuscripts written by Francis C. Muldoon on various legal matters. Photographs consists of some snapshots of the members of the Commission taken during meetings or seminars and some portraits of Francis C. Muldoon.
