The series consists of personal correspondence of Katharine Cronyn Harley, newspaper clippings about her life and family, and material collected by her relating to Cronyn family of London, Ontario. Her personal correspondence holds letters concerning fund-raising for Huron College, including a letter from John Labatt; letters from A. Philip B. Fraser regarding books for CNR School Car No. 3; correspondence from family and friends; and writings sent to her by Susan Cooper which comprise poetry and a "Christmas Reminiscence" of Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy at the Kennedy Center awards. The clippings show news coverage of her election as the first woman member of the Synod of the Diocese of Huron of the Anglican church; the opening of the Katharine Harley School for the Mentally Retarded in 1966; the deaths of her father Hume Blake Cronyn in 1933 and brother Richard Hume Cronyn in 1948; the life of her great-grandfather, Rev. Benjamin Cronyn, the first bishop of the Diocese of Huron; and publicity for exhibitions of paintings by Hugh Cronyn.

Other family material includes correspondence of her uncle Samuel V. Blake and A. Percy Saunders, a professor at Hamilton College, Clinton, New York, written between 1911 and 1921. Silvia Saunders had sent these letters to Hume Cronyn in 1965 after cleaning out the Saunders home in Clinton. There are letters among them from John H. Moss, Daisy Moss, Edward Cronyn, George M. Wrong, Murray Wrong, and Laura M. Bethune. In addition, the series holds an invitation to the wedding of Hume Cronyn and Frances Amelia Labatt in 1892.
