A number of the photographs are concerned with the duo of Wayne and Shuster in their roles as army, radio and television entertainers; as well, a number of the images are portraits of the two together. The photos cover Frank Shuster's entire life, including 11 items from his childhood, as well as a number in the pre-war period when Wayne and Shuster began to act together. There are a number of photos taken during the war, showing the duo both acting and in other military roles, including the first week in Normandy, entertaining Canadian troops, sketches for the Canadian Army Show, Canada Bonds Radio, and entertaining in Tokyo and Korea during the Korean War.

The majority of the photographs deal with their radio and television careers, primarily with CBC, but also including some views taken in the United States when experimenting with the television market there in the early 1960s. This group includes both promotional material and views taken on location during the creation of skits.
The photographs include formal portraits; on tour; in rehearsal; Frank Shuster receiving an honourary degree from the University of Toronto (1984); Johnny Wayne and Frank Shuster performing comedy skits for the Ed Sullivan Show, Tiddlywinks Show, advertising sketches, Show of the Week, the Wayne & Shuster Hour. CBC television broadcast skits include All in the Royal Family, Murder on the Super Continental, The Unholy Goalie, Once Upon a Giant, Dr. Sinister, Bonanza, Swan Lake, Sherlock Holmes, The Brown Pumpernickel, Citizen Wayne, French Bistro, Out West, Cyrano de Bergerac, Julius Caesar, Robin Hood. Other performers include Ed Sullivan, Carol Robinson, Peggy Mahon, Roger Doucet. Photos by Norman Chamberlin, Harold Whyte, Henry Fox, Warner Photographic, Roy Martin, Dale Barnes, Robert C. Ragsdale, George Greeland, Fred Phipps, Barry Wilson, Gordon Meinecke, British Travel and Holidays Associations, Paul Smith, National Film Board of Canada.

Material dealing exclusively with Frank Shuster includes some items concerning his family life, his post-Wayne and Shuster career at the CBC (including some "specials" and the Comedy Wall), and the honorary doctorate conferred on him by the University of Toronto.
