Accession consists of central registry files of the Conferences and Regulations Section. The accession includes files relating to legislation, international and domestic conferences, committees, prosecution cases, appointments of judges, and travelling allowances of judges. There are also records of applications for pardons and new trials and other miscellaneous files.
Boxes 17-25 (OFRC boxes 145-153) contain files created or received by the lawyer representing the Department of Justice of Canada in the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the Coffin Affair. This Commission was mandated to inquire into and to report upon the case of Wilbert Coffin, hanged for murder February 10, 1956. Hearings of the commission were held in Quebec city in 1964. The commissioner was Roger Brossard. The records consist mostly of transcripts of the hearings and transcripts of witnesses statements.

Formerly boxes 129-165 of OFRC O79-182. Boxes 1-16 and 26 (OFRC boxes 129-144, 154) were transferred in permanent volume 3626 to 3650.
