Sub-series consists of a miscellany of records which reflect the Clerk's role in the financial aspects of land management, such as determining the allocation of fees to the various players in the land granting process, and the collection of documentation for the auditing process. Included are documents such as weekly reports of survey accounts; memoranda of descriptions issued; returns of locations; schedules of patents issued; an audited list of grants of land for United Empire Loyalists and Military Claimants; weekly reports on patents engrossed and fees received by the Receiver General and the Auditor General (returns which may have been used by the Inspector General in his examination of public accounts prior to their submission to Council for formal audit); and correspondence, memoranda and reports of the Inspector General of Provincial Public Accounts concerning privileged land grants (United Empire Loyalist and Military Claimant).
