This accession consists of operational and housekeeping textual records of the Canadian Advisory Council on the Status of Women pertaining to committees, conferences, financial matters, organizations, meetings, development strategies and research.

The accession also contains mini audio-cassettes of radio and television interviews, conferences, meetings, etc. relating to women's issues from circa 1987 to 1994 which may have been created, collected or maintained by the CACSW.

Finally, the accession consists of VHS tapes of liaison files providing coverage of community outreach meetings, "Widening the Circle" presentations and broadcasts pertaining to women's issues. These records date between circa 1986 and 1995.
