This album, comprised of 60 pages on which 123 photographs are mounted, follows a crew of "Dominion Explorers" (prospectors and pilots) in the field, over the course of a season in the Northwest Territories. The photographs document their travels and interactions with the Inuit. Photos by Dominion Explorers Ltd., a prospecting and mining company. No date (likely late 20s, early 30s) or negative numbers are provided. Was originally in the library of the N.W.T. and Yukon Branch of the Department of the Interior.

The following places can be found in the album: Cape Chidley; Tavanne; Baker Lake (including aerial views); Deer Lake; Clearwater Lake; Fort Churchill (harbour); Rankin Inlet; Nelson River (aerial view).

The following events can be found in the album: Dominion Explorers in the field; Sunday dinner at main camp; checking a Noon observation on "Morso"; planes landing and taking off; white fox caught in trap; mending sled with thongs of walrus hide; stowing cargo on "Morso"; seal hunting; ice fishing; prospecting; moving camp by air; changing from pontoons to skis on plane; hitching of dogs to sled (komatik); discovery of placer and free gold.

Morso; plane hangars; sedimentary rock; caribou moss; rafts to ferry cargo; whale boats; pillow lava; tundra and lake views; igloo - an observatory for recording tide and compass variations.

The following animals can be found in the album: seals, ptarmigan, hare (all dead); types of trout and salmon (caught); gopher; sled dogs.

This album was originally part of accession 1974-366, which had been integrated into 1973-357. It has since been separated back into the two individual accessions of 1973-357 and 1974-366.
