This album, comprised of 105 pages on which 435 photographs are mounted, consists of surveys and expeditions that Joseph Dewey Soper made on Baffin Island, documenting the landscapes, plantation, and bird life found. Photos by J.D. (Joseph Dewey) Soper, zoologist. The bird survey was done at Bowman Bay, and he was the first to discover the breeding grounds of the blue goose. There is also a series of portraits of the Inuit living at Cape Dorset. Soper also took many photographs of the camps he set up while completing his work.
