This album, comprised of 85 pages on which 248 photographs are mounted, centres mainly on a detailed look at Dawson City and a retrospective view of the buildings, streets and residences there. Owners of many houses are noted, as well as past owners. There are also mining scenes at different areas in the Klondike District, such as activities of the Yukon Gold Co. The album partly documents a visit by their Excellencies, Lord and Lady Byng, to the Yukon in August of 1922. Photos mostly by O.S. Finnie from 1922, but also a small amount of material by the following: E.O. Ellingson, E.J. Hamacher, K. Harris, W.E. Hunter and the Indian Affairs branch, from 1925 - 1928. Finally, there is a series accredited to "Yukon" that dates from 1898 - 1901. It is unknown where the "Yukon" photographs originate from, but they detail scenes from Whitehorse, Dawson City and Chilkoot Pass at the turn of the twentieth century.
