Canadian troops at various stages of preparations for overseas service in World War I. The 16th Battalion of the Canadian Scottish Regiment, recruited from the Victoria area, drills. With relatives following, soldiers parade through downtown Victoria to embark. Various sequences on the review of regiments at the Victoria Racetrack. Soldiers march in downtown streets with streetcars passing. Several shots of a Highland Regiment and their band. Soldiers stand at the bottom of a flight of stairs.
