Series consists of original sound rolls used in the production of the film The Learning Path, one film in the five-part documentary series entitled As Long as the Rivers Flow, produced by Tamarack Productions and the National Film Board of Canada. Sound rolls include interviews with Eva Cardinal, Olive Dickason, and Dr. Anne Anderson, three leaders in Native education.

Series also consists of moving image recordings including a rough cut of the film The Learning Path; and the short documentary The Eyes of Children (ca. 1954), a film that focuses on the lives of aboriginal children who attend Kamloops Indian Residential School, possibly used for research purposes in the making of The Learning Path.

Also included in series are transcripts documenting oral history interviews conducted during production of the documentary film The Learning Path. Interviewees include Olive Dickason, Eva Cardinal, Dr. Anne Anderson, several students from Ben Calf Robe School, a contemporary First Nations-run junior high school in Edmonton, Alberta, Dolores Prudenberry, a Cree teacher at Ben Calf Robe School, and First Nations elder Connie [Morin]. The transcripts are taken entirley from original sound rolls used in the production of The Learning Path. Also included is a daily production report listing names of interviewees and corresponding dates when interviews were conducted.
