Soles then interviews Dr. Tom Pashby, an opthomologist, who has taken an active interest in hockey injuries for many years. Dr. Pashby has been researching different types of helmets with eye guards, and some examples of these are shown. He also discusses the necessity for standardization of safety equipment and making the use of eye guards mandatory for young players, especially those with exhisting eye problems. Other preventive methods including rule changes are mentioned.
