Fonds consists of photographs depicting aspects of Brigadier-General Greenaway in the R.C.A.F. and Canadian Forces, particularly his research activities in the field of aerial navigation in the Arctic.

Also included in fonds is a moving image recording of the flight of USN airship ZPG-2 from the Air Development Center in Massachusetts to Ice Island for research purposes. The camera focuses mostly on Arctic waters and terrain as seen from the airship.

Greenaway, Keith R. (Keith Rogers), 1916-2010 : Keith Rogers Greenaway was born 8 April 1916 in Woodville, Ontario. He was educated in Toronto, Ontario. In 1940 he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), serving as Wireless and Navigation instructor during WWII. Thereafter, Greenaway flew with the US Navy over the North Atlantic and the North Pole, helped to develop the RCAF Twilight Computer, seconded to the Defence Research Board, served with the USAF Strategic Air Command, helped to develop the Earth Convergency Grid, and assisted the US Navy in navigating the USN ZPG-2 Airship to Ice Island T3. In 1958 Greenaway joined the Canadian Delegation to the United Nations meeting in Geneva, and from 1967 to 1970 served as Air Advisor to the first Malaysian Chief of the Royal Malaysian Air Force. Greenaway retired from the Air Force in 1971, but continued work as Senior Science Advisor in the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs until 1980. He was inducted into Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame in 1974. Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame. 3 January 2001. 25 September 2002. . 1519
