The sub-series documents Celafi '92, a six-day, multi-disciplinary conference and festival at Toronto's Harbourfront Centre. Included is correspondence with artists, staff members and venues; program proposals, overviews and schedules; financial records, including funding applications, budgets and reports; artists' résumés, biographies, and agreements; minutes of meetings, transcripts of panel discussions and final reports; and promotional material, including printed posters, programme brochures and publicity clippings. Programmes documented in the sub-series are the Artists Market, curated by Scott Marsden, an art market offering the work of artists such Carol Campbell and Nike Olaniyi Davies; the Dance Programme, featuring Zelma Badu and Zab Maboungou; the Film and Video Programme (including correspondence with artistic director Glace Lawrence and film producers Claire Prieto and Kwah Ansah); the Literary Programme (including correspondence with Cecil Foster, Martha Kumsa and Frederic Ward); the Music Programme, featuring the musical bands Four the Moment and the Sattalites; the Neku Workshop, which involved the artist Glen Simmons; panels; the Photography Exhibitions Programme, featuring works by Magdalena Campos-Pons and Floyd Sandiford (and including correspondence between David Zapparoli and Terry Costantino, the Director of Gallery 44); and the Theatre Programme (including correspondence with contributors such as Jeff Henry, Dirk McLean and Think Theatre). Miscellaneous correspondence relating to the festival is filed at the end of the sub-series.
