Interview of Mabel McLean, descendant of early United Empire Loyalist settlers in Glengarry County, Ontario. McLean, an amateur historian, discusses the history of Glengarry County from the early settlement in 1783 under Reverend John Bethune, to the settlement by the disbanded First Battalion of the King's Royal Regiment. She also talks of the building of the various churches and mentions some of the first families such as the Camerons, McLeans, MacKenzies, and MacDonnells. Other topics include the "Indian Lands" north of the County, the genealogy of her Cameron ancestors and the United Empire Loyalist Association.
