Quick montage of museum pieces with people using them with the apparatus were new. Sequence on the picture phone being used in staged business encounters. Still photo of the US Secretary of Commerce, Herbert Hoover, speaking on a television link between Washington and New York in 1927. This is followed by sequences on the progress of television in the 1940s and 1950s. Shots of an experimental picture phone on show at the 1964 New York World Fair.
