Collection consists of documentaries, news clips, fiction film and serials. The subject matter covers a great variety of topics, from World War I and the military, industries and farm management, natural resources and environment, to religion, education, history and travels at home and abroad. The camera focuses at length on royalty, as in The making of a king; Royal remembrances; and A Prince of Wales. Other titles include: Fresh from the deep; Ottawa, the home of Canada's Parliament; Queen's University; Where firemen grow wings; and Prospecting for gold. Among the fiction films are: Les misérables; The exploits of Elaine; Between love and duty; and Blighty, 1900-1960s. Also included in collection are fourteen (14) stories taken from various newsreel issues made during the First World War, produced by British-Canadian Pathe News/ Pathe Gazette, 1918.

Graphic Consultants Limited : Graphic Consultants Limited was a film restoration house and stock footage company established in 1965 by Greg Hoy, in order to restore a collection of early historic Canadian films dealing with social and economic life in Canada from 1907 to 1933. They began operations at 603 Church Street in Toronto and moved to 181 Belsize Avenue as the company expanded. Graphic Consultants closed in the late 1970s due to lack of funds.

The films in this collection came from the distribution library of the Ontario Motion Picture Bureau, which ceased operations in 1934. In 1935 the Ontario Department of Education assumed control of the Bureau's films, selling the negatives and prints in 1937 to the Montreal company Associated Screen News (ASN). ASN destroyed the films in order to recover the silver content of the film stock. In 1935, Father Joseph Gravelle, a Roman Catholic priest serving in Ontario's Pembroke Diocese, acquired the Bureau's distribution library to show to members of his parish. In 1965, Greg Hoy bought approximately 2,500 films from Father Gravelle, who had been storing them in a barn near North Bay.
