Series consists of maps and technical drawings. 136 maps, 1871-1924, depict Canada and the United states and various parts thereof: including Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, U.S. states and cities; Rand McNally maps of Southern states; National Forests; railway lines; U.S. Geological Survey maps, predominantly of parts of Maine and New York state; Geological and Natural History Survey of Canada map of New Brunswick; timber berths around Cowichan Lake, British Columbia. One technical drawing, ca. 1884, is a plan entitled Plan of "Paloma," depicting a lake scow built by Mossom Boyd and Company and the Trent Valley Navigation Company. (Information relating to the construction of this scow is available in vol. 930, file 1 of the textual records.) Three technical drawings, 1900, are plans for the steamboat "Rideau Queen", and consist of a profile of the vessel and plans of its saloon deck and the main deck.
