Collection consists of photographs of three separate holiday automobile trips, possibly taken by an American couple travelling in Canada. The first group of photos taken in August of 1934 shows prominent buildings in Toronto including Casa Loma, Toronto General Hospital, the Ontario Legislative Building, part of the University of Toronto, and a campground on the banks of the St. Lawrence River between Toronto and Montréal. The second set of photographs dating from August 1935 features views of the Civic Auditorium (now the Provincial Archives of Manitoba) in Winnipeg, Manitoba; a lumber mill near Dryden, Ont.; the north shore of Lake Superior looking toward Thunder Bay; a rock ridge on the road between Port Arthur and Nipigon, Ont.; and Kakabeka Falls, Ont. The third set of holiday views taken in August 1936 shows Lake Louise in Banff National Park, Alberta. Photographs by an unknown (likely amateur American) photographer.
